September 2011
by Italian Village on 09/15/11
It's that time of year again! Can you believe it? The autumnal equinox is right around the corner and we all know what that means -- Fall Activities! Dig out those sweaters and jackets, check the furnace to ensure it's working, and shake the dust off the Halloween Costumes or buy a new one. Speaking of costumes, the Halloween Highball is next month and there are quite a few changes. First of all, the location has moved to the vacant lot on the corner of Fifth and High. Also, Diesha Condon will not be coordinating this year's event since she just birthed a beautiful child! So, John Angelo will be taking her place this year and will be telling us all about the changes at this Month's IVS meeting. John is fully prepared to answer any questions that we may have about this year's event. This is not a meeting you want to miss! Hope to see you all there. (see below for details).
Each year, the Society has a booth at the Columbus Italian Festival to sell t-shirts and provide literature about Italian Village. With that, volunteers are needed by Society members. To sign up, please click here. There is a maximum of two volunteers for each time slot. You must be 18 years or older, able to manage and count money, maintain an inventory sheet, and have basic knowledge of Italian Village Society (don't worry, you can always direct someone to our website if you cannot answer a question). Each time slot is 2-3 hours. After you sign up, you will be contacted at a later time for confirmation and any other details that you need to know.
