About Content Filters
IV Park Free WiFi is running through the OpenDNS
content filters, which help make this service safe for
children to use. A brief listing of the content filters
follows. If you would like to find out more about the
OpenDNS service, please visit www.opendns.com.
Filtered Content:
Adware Protection - Sites that distribute applications
which display advertisements without user's knowledge
or choice. Does not include sites which serve advertising.
Adult Themes - Sites that are adult in nature.
Dating - Sites for meeting other people.
Drugs - Sites about illegal or recreational drug use.
File storage - Sites that offer space for hosting, sharing and backup of digital files.
Gambling - Sites that offer gambling or information about gambling.
Games - Sites that offer game play and information about games (news, tips, cheat codes).
Hate/Discrimination - Sites that promote intolerance based on gender, age, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or other group identities.
Lingerie/Bikini - Sites displaying or dedicated to lingerie/bikini that could be considered adult only.
Nudity - Sites that provide images or representations of nudity.
P2P/File sharing - Sites that facilitate the sharing of digital files between individuals, especially via peer-to-peer software, including torrent sites.
Phishing Protection - Phishing protection protects the network from known phishing sites using the bestdata available.
Photo sharing - Sites for sharing photographs, as individual images, galleries and albums.
The following Photo Sharing domains are exempt from the content filters:
Pornography - Anything relating to pornography, including mild depiction, soft pornography or hard-core pornography.
Proxy/Anonymizer - Sites providing proxy bypass information or services. Also, sites that allow the user to surf the net anonymously, including sites that allow the user to send anonymous emails.
Sexuality - Sites that provide information, images or implications of bondage, sadism, 
masochism, fetish, beating, body piercing or self-mutilation.

The following social networking sites are exempt from the content filters:
Tasteless - Sites that contain information on such subjects as mutilation, torture, horror, or the grotesque.
Video sharing - Sites for sharing video content.
The following video sharing sites are exempt from the content filters:
Visual search engines - Sites for searching for images based on keywords.
The following visual search engines are exempt from the content filters:
Yahoo - http://images.search.yahoo.comMSN - http://www.bing.comWeapons - Sites about weapons, commercial and otherwise.
When you try to visit a Blocked site:
If you try to visit a blocked/filtered website, your browser will display an image that looks something like this one.
If you have questions about why the site was blocked, you can email the IV Park WiFi Administrator, by clicking on the link in the displayed page, where it says contact your network administrator, or you can visit the OpenDNS website by clicking on the OpenDNS link.
When you try to visit a Phishing site:
If you try to visit a site that is on the known list of Phishing sites, your browser will display an image that looks something like this one.
